1.  Before You Install Contract Management
    A. Software License Agreement

GRANT OF LICENSE.  This EULA grants you the following rights:

  • Software.  You may install and use one copy of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on one COMPUTER.
  • Network Services. If the SOFTWARE PRODUCT includes functionality that enables the COMPUTER to act as a network server, any number of computers or workstations may access or otherwise utilize the basic network services of that server.  The basic network services are more fully described in the printed materials accompanying the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
  • Storage/Network Use.  You may also store or install a copy of the computer software portion of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on the COMPUTER to allow your other computers to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT over an internal network, and distribute the SOFTWARE PRODUCT to your other computers over an internal network.  However, you must acquire and dedicate a license for the SOFTWARE PRODUCT for each computer on which the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is used or to which it is distributed.  A license for the SOFTWARE PRODUCT may not be shared or used concurrently on different computers.

DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS.

  • Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation and Disassembly.  You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.
  • Any alteration to the original software will void a warranty or liability.
  • Separation of Components.  The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed as a single product.  Its component parts may not be separated for use on more than one computer.
  • Single COMPUTER.  The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed with the COMPUTER as a single integrated product.  The SOFTWARE PRODUCT may only be used with the COMPUTER.
  • Rental.  You may not rent or lease the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
  • Software Transfer.  You may permanently transfer all of your rights under this EULA only as part of a sale or transfer of the COMPUTER, provided you retain no copies, you transfer all of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT (including all component parts, the media and printed materials, any upgrades, this EULA and, if applicable, the Certificate(s) of Authenticity), AND the recipient agrees to the terms of this EULA.  If the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is an upgrade, any transfer must include all prior versions of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
  • Termination.  Without prejudice to any other rights, CobbleStone Systems, Inc. may terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this EULA.  In such event, you must destroy all copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT and all of its component parts.

Disclaimer of Warranty
THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.  In particular, there is no warranty for the optional virus scanning feature (Contract Management does not scan for viruses, it simply runs external programs that claim to perform this function).  Because of the various hardware and software environments into which  Contract Management may be put, NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS OFFERED.

Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program.  ANY LIABILITY OF THE SELLER WILL BE LIMITED EXCLUSIVELY TO PRODUCT REPLACEMENT OR REFUND OF PURCHASE PRICE.

D. Installing Contract Management Software from Diskettes

Rerun the Setup program to add or remove a component

  1. Insert Disk 1 of the Contract Management Software disks in your disk drive.
  2. Click the Windows Start button, and then click Run.
  3. Type drive:\setup.exe, and then click OK. For example, if you inserted Disk 1 in your A drive, type a:\setup.exe.  If you're installing from a network drive, click the Browse  button, and then use the Look In box to locate the Setup file.
  4. In the Setup program, click the Add/Remove button, and then click the component you want to add or remove.

2.  System Requirements

  • An IBM-compatible PC with a 486DX/66 or higher processor (Pentium or higher recommended).
  • Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • A hard disk with 12 MB of RAM of free space (16 recommended).
  • 30 MB of hard-disk space required.
  • VGA or higher-resolution monitor.
  • Mouse or compatible pointing device.

3. After You Install Contract Management Software

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Contract Management Software is a task-based contract-management program for  people who want an easier, more convenient way to manage their core  contracts – whether they're currently using contract management software or not. Contract Management Software brings significant enhancements to contract management.

Improvements to the contract expiration process, new features such as  the Contract Expiration Notification that is Year 2000 Compliant and Scanned  Contract Image, as well as the ability to dial Vendors with a click of a button.


USER GUIDE

Starting Contract Management Software

  1. Click Start button, Programs, Contract Management, Contract Management.

Navigating through the interface

The Main Menu is the best way to navigate through Contract Management. It features buttons that corresponds to each topic of Contract Management. For example, the Employee button will allow the user to view the Employee  information, such as, entering a new employee or finding/editing an existing employee.
 
        1.  Start by adding all your Employees first (they will be used later).  Enter Employee information such as:

    • Employee Name
    • Title
    • Supervisor
    • Manager
    • Date of Hire
    • Comments

    2.  Next add all your Vendor information (it will be used later).     Enter Vendor information such as:

    • Vendor Name
    • Address
    • Phone Number
    • Fax Number
    • Notes

    3.    Finally add your Contract Information.  Such as:

    • Contract Title
    • Vendor (Select Vendor from the drop down list)
    • Product
    • Start and End Date
    • Amount
    • Employee Contact (Select Employee from the drop down list)
    • Signed By information (Allows you to track who approved the contract)
    • Invoice or Contract Number (for your tracking purposes)
    • Notify Me Days (This tells the computer when to notify you)
    • Description (Any additional information for your needs)
    • Notes (Can be used for renewal time)
    • If you have the scanning capabilities click the scan button to add a scanned image of the contract.
    • (Note if you using an evaluation copy enter your contracts to expire before the 30 day evaluation expires; this will  allow you to view expired contracts before the software terminates).
